We’re here to help—any time, day or night.

Youth experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or crisis can contact Bellefaire’s Homeless and Missing Youth Program Hotline at 216.570.8010, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Trained staff provide immediate support, safety planning, and assistance locating a temporary, safe place to stay.

We understand that survival situations can place youth at risk of exploitation, substance use, or other harm. Our approach is nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, and youth-centered—focused on immediate safety while helping young people access the resources and long-term supports they need to move forward.

Bellefaire’s Community Crisis and Trauma Team is comprised of highly trained, licensed therapists who provide rapid, on-site crisis response for youth ages 5–18. When a crisis occurs, clinicians typically respond within one to one and a half hours to schools, hospitals, homes, or other community settings.

With parental or guardian consent, clinicians:

  • De-escalate the immediate crisis
  • Complete a comprehensive crisis and needs assessment
  • Develop a clear, individualized safety plan

Following the initial response, families receive thoughtful follow-up by phone or in person, along with coordinated referrals and linkages to additional supports as needed. This continuity of care ensures that families are not left to navigate next steps alone.

Bellefaire also offers Crisis Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT), a nationally recognized, evidence-informed service for youth with serious emotional disturbances who are at risk of out-of-home placement or transitioning back home from placement.

IHBT is designed to help youth remain safely at home, the least restrictive and most developmentally appropriate setting whenever possible. Services are delivered in the home, school, and community, allowing clinicians to address challenges where they occur in daily life.

IHBT integrates multiple core mental health services into one coordinated, high-touch model, including:

  • Psychiatric supportive treatment
  • Behavioral health counseling and therapy
  • Comprehensive mental health assessment
  • Crisis response and stabilization

Services are flexibly scheduled, responsive to family needs, and available around the clock. Bellefaire clinicians receive advanced training in trauma-specific modalities, including EMDR, SITCAP, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring care is grounded in best practices.

Integrated Co-Occurring Treatment (ICT) is embedded within Bellefaire’s intensive home-based service continuum and serves youth with both substance use disorders and serious emotional disabilities. This integrated model addresses the complex interaction between mental health, substance use, family systems, and environmental factors.

ICT emphasizes meaningful family engagement and requires participation from at least one parent or guardian. Clinicians work collaboratively with youth and families to strengthen protective factors and address challenges across multiple settings.

The ICT model has demonstrated strong outcomes, including:

  • Reduced substance use symptoms
  • Reduced mental health symptom severity
  • Fewer juvenile justice charges and placements
  • Reduced out-of-home placements
  • Improved school engagement and performance
  • Strengthened family functioning
  • Increased community stability and involvement

Behavioral Health Respite provides caregivers with a short-term break while ensuring youth are supported in a safe, structured, and engaging environment. Each respite session lasts approximately three to four hours, allowing caregivers time for rest or personal needs while youth participate in supervised activities.

Respite services are delivered by experienced professionals skilled in working with children and adolescents and may take place on Bellefaire’s campus or at approved community locations.
